Jonah makes the assumption that "Life is all about himself." Jonah doesn't want to forget about what Nianevah did to him. He wants to hold onto it and not let go. In the book of Matthew 6:14-15 we are told that if we forgive others, our heavenly Father will also forgive us as well however, if we don't for give others he will not forgive us.
